Tata Nexon Discount: Indian car buyers will enjoy a substantial GST reduction that came into effect on 22 September 2025. A price slash has been announced by Tata Motors across its entire passenger car range, with direct savings on taxes to consumers. Consumers looking to buy their next car will now find Tata cars more reasonably priced than ever before.

New Price List Released by Tata Motors

Tata has cut prices by ₹65,000 to ₹1.55 lakh based on the model. Hatchbacks, sedans, small SUVs, and even premium SUVs come in this cut. Tiago customers will be relieved of up to ₹75,000, and the Tigor sedan is reduced by ₹80,000. The Altroz premium hatchback witnesses a massive ₹1.10 lakh reduction. Tata Punch, a hit compact SUV, is now reduced by ₹85,000.

Huge Cut on Nexon SUV

The biggest saving on this price reduction is the Nexon SUV, which has turned ₹1.55 lakh cheaper. Nexon is among Tata’s best-selling sub-4m SUV cars, and this decrease makes it an even better value-for-money option for Indian consumers.

Harrier and Safari Receive Heavy Discounts

In the high-end SUV segment, Tata Harrier is now priced at ₹1.40 lakh lower, while the Safari seven-seater is ₹1.45 lakh lower in price. Both SUVs are popular for their look and solid road presence, and these new prices will draw more buyers this festive season.

Why Prices Came Down

This relief follows the GST Council readjusting the tax slab on passenger vehicles. Compact cars with up to 1200cc (petrol, LPG, CNG) or 1500cc (diesel) engine capacity and a length less than 4000mm will henceforth be charged only 18% GST. Larger cars and SUVs will have 40% GST, down from the previous 45–50%. Tata Motors has already recalibrated its prices to that effect.

Tata Motors Statement on Price Cut

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles MD Shailesh Chandra stated that the company would ensure that the full advantage of tax reforms was being passed on to customers. He further stated that this initiative would make personal mobility more affordable for first-time customers and reduce the cost of Tata’s best-selling cars and SUVs.

Golden Time to Buy a Tata Car

The timing of this move is crucial, as it coincides with the upcoming festive season beginning with Navratri. With lower prices on models like Nexon, Harrier, Safari, Altroz, Punch, and Tiago, this is the right time for customers seeking maximum discounts.
