Kia Carens Clavis: Kia India achieved good sales performance in July 2025 with an 8 percent year-over-year increase by selling 22,135 units. It is higher compared to 20,507 units sold in July 2024. The increased growth was led by the newly introduced Carens Clavis, which has become a favorite among Indian customers. Stable and robust sales of models such as Seltos and Sonet have also contributed to Kia’s growth in the highly competitive SUV segment.
Demand Surges for Carens Clavis EV
The pick of the month was the Kia Carens Clavis EV, which has seen a thunderous response from buyers. This new 7-seater electric MPV is Kia’s maiden locally built EV for India. The car begins at an ex-showroom price of ₹17.99 lakh and comes with two battery variants—42 kWh with a 404 km range and 51.4 kWh with a 490 km range. With these characteristics, the Clavis EV is fast becoming a top choice for families wanting roomy, contemporary electric mobility.
Kia Continues to Build Market Trust
Kia credited its success to customer trust and a robust product range that addresses changing needs. The company stated the demand for feature-rich, high-spec vehicles continues to build, and Kia will continue to deliver performance, comfort, and next-generation technology. Just released, the Carens Clavis EV has already been lauded for its performance, range, and generous feature set, such as a 12.3-inch screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bose 8-speaker system, panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, ventilated seats, and ambient lighting.
Kia’s Yearly Sales Boom
Looking ahead in July, Kia’s cumulative sales from January to July 2025 stood at 1,63,439 units, indicating an increase of 11.45 percent against 1,46,644 units last year during the same period. Export figures also remained stable with 2,590 units exported in July this year against 2,500 units in the last year. This indicates Kia’s increasing presence not only in the Indian market but also in overseas markets.
