Tata Motors is set to turn up the heat in the electric SUV segment with its just-launched RWD series of the Harrier EV. Designed to take on Mahindra’s XEV 9e, Tata’s flagship EV comes loaded with performance, range, and future-ready features in a style-first design, offering a high-octane experience to customers wanting to make the transition to electric.

Tata Harrier EV RWD Price Details

The Harrier EV RWD will come in five different trims: Adventure S 65, Adventure 65, Fearless+ 75, Fearless+ 65, and Empowered 75. Priced from ₹21.49 lakh (ex-showroom), the price goes all the way up to ₹27.49 lakh (ex-showroom) for the range-topper. Interestingly, these prices do not include the charger price and installation cost, which has to be separately paid. All RWD variants’ bookings will become available officially on July 2.

At this pricing, Tata’s electric SUV undercuts certain XEV 9e versions, priced between ₹21.90 lakh and ₹30.50 lakh (ex-showroom), offering customers a value-for-money as well as a competitive alternative in this fast-emerging segment.

Battery Options and Real-World Range

The Harrier EV comes in two battery variants: 65kWh and 75kWh. Though the bigger battery boasts a certified range of 622 km on a single charge, actual performance should drop between 480 km and 500 km based on conditions of driving. Both batteries are compatible with 120kW DC fast charging that can give up to 250 km of range within 15 minutes — an excellent advantage for those who are keen on rapid top-ups while on the move.

Speed and Driving Performance

Harrier EV’s performance data is equally impressive. It takes just 6.3 seconds to go from 0 to 100 kmph, while it has a top speed limited to 180 kmph. This means Tata’s electric SUV is not just about features and range — it’s designed to excite as well.

Infotainment and Connectivity

Step inside the cabin and the technology available immediately catches the eye. The vehicle boasts a spacious, 14.5-inch Samsung Neo QLED touchscreen infotainment system, joined by a 10.25-inch all-digital instrument cluster. Users have a wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, providing unadulterated smartphone integration without tangled wires.

Driving Modes and Tech Suite

The Harrier EV accommodates six various drive modes, allowing drivers to customize performance based on terrain or personal preference. Such versatility makes it an intelligent choice for city dwellers as well as weekend getaways. Incorporating such sophisticated driving controls places this SUV in a premium category that most customers look for in current EV offerings.

Charging Setup Not Included

One key point for buyers to note is that the charger and its installation are not bundled into the ex-showroom price. Those opting for the AC Fast Charger will need to pay extra, which is standard for premium EVs but worth considering during the purchase.

AWD Variant Price Reveal Soon

Tata Motors has officially announced that the prices of the upcoming All-Wheel Drive (AWD) versions will be revealed on June 27. These models are expected to find favor among buyers looking for increased traction and off-road performance, with another dimension of excitement added to the Harrier EV family.
