Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Review – The Guerrilla 450 is a motorcycle that is built for city riding, highway jaunts on the weekends, and daily commuting. The engine is based on the Sherpa engine taken from the Himalayan 450; the tuning, this time obviously carved out for urban riding. The bike has become lighter, sharper, and more agile to aid with easy manoeuvrability in clogged urban spaces. The Guerrilla 450 sits fine on the balance of raw performance and commonsensical practicality.
Design And Build Quality
The design of the Guerrilla 450 is simple yet a huge draw. A round LED headlamp complemented with high handlebars, a flat seat, and a strong tank gives it a scrambler-style street personality. Royal Enfield has imparted a very modern functional finish to it, making this motorcycle appear premium and ergonomically perfected from every viewing angle. Build quality appears solid, and metal components are generously sprinkled in the mix for optimal durability. It is very comfortable, which means no sore butts even after a long ride.
Engine And Performance
The 452cc liquid-cooled Sherpa engine finds its way here, albeit with a slightly more sporting tune as against that of the Himalayan, with good torque available right from the low RPMs to allow smooth riding in city traffic away from frequent gear shifts. The advantage here, however, is the fast linear build-up of the bike from 0-80 km/h. Relaxed at highway cruising at 100km/h, the engine felt very civil indeed. Some vibrations are there, but even at higher RPMs, the bike stays level-headed. In other words, a beautiful mix between what the daily riders need and weekend tourers expect.

Riding Comfort, Handling
The Guerrilla 450 features suspension tuned for urban conditions. The front USD forks and rear monoshock neutralise small potholes and uneven patches on the street. Among its strengths is handling, as the bike feels light and quickly changes direction through traffic. Coupled with that is confidence in corners. The brakes speak highly of their effectiveness; dual-channel ABS certainly aids with reduced stopping distances even at high speeds. Fuel Efficiency and Practical Use: Good for Everyday Life.
The Guerrilla 450 returns 28-30 kmpl under normal city conditions, while on the highway, it would do around 32 kmpl – decent figures for the 450 cc segment. It has a pretty good fuel tank capacity, such that there is no need to stop frequently for refuelling.
