You may know that since the acquisition by TVS Motor Company in 2020, Norton has started preparing to introduce itself in a new way, and now its result is in front of us as four new bikes. The most special of these are Norton Manx R superbike and Norton Atlas Adventure series, which will be launched in several countries including India next year.

Norton Manx R
The new Manx R is Norton’s flagship bike that will replace the earlier V4SV model. This bike has come with a completely new design and technology. Its 1,200cc liquid-cooled V4 engine gives 206hp power at 11,500rpm and 130Nm torque at 9,000rpm. It has given cylinder deactivation technology, which closes the rear cylinder at the stop, saving fuel.

Design and Features
While the rest of the superbikes feature large aerodynamic wings, Norton has kept it clean and stylish. Its carbon-fibre bodywork, underbelly exhaust and sharp lines give it a premium feel.
The same bike’s suspension setup gives the Ohlins semi-active system, which includes NIX 30 fork and TTX GP monoshock. Brembo Hypure calipers and 330mm discs are provided for braking, while tires belong to the Pirelli Supercorsa V4 SP.
Technology
The need for every modern rider is taken into consideration in Norton Manx R. It has features such as 8-inch touchscreen TFT display, keyless entry, heated grips, cruise control and hill-hold assist. In addition, Bluetooth, smartwatch, GoPro and Alexa voice control are also supported.
Manx Supernaked
Norton has also introduced its Supernaked version with Manx R. Its design is slightly different, it has upright riding ergonomics and new LED headline design. The engine is the same 1,200cc V4, but the tuning is set aside. This bike is for those who also want comfort with sporty performance.

Norton Atlas and Atlas GT
Now let’s talk about the Norton Atlas series, which will be made entirely in India. These bikes have a 585cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that gives around 70hp power. Norton claims that the performance of Atlas is similar to the Kawasaki Versys 650, but is much lighter in weight.
Atlas Standard has 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels, while the Atlas GT features 17-inch alloy wheels. The seat height of Atlas is about 840mm, while in GT it is 810mm. That is, both are perfect for different riders according to height.
