Namo Shetkari 8th Installment Update

Namo Shetkari 8th Instalment Update: Farmers across Maharashtra are eagerly awaiting the 8th Instalment, under which the state government provides ₹ 1,000 per Instalment. In contrast, the central and state governments continue to introduce schemes to strengthen agriculture and provide direct income support to farmers. Recent rumours about large-scale name removals have caused concern among beneficiaries.

The Maharashtra government’s Namo Shetkari Maha Samman Nidhi Yojana works alongside the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme and benefits lakhs of farmers every year. Currently, more than 90 lakh farmers are awaiting the next ₹2,000 instalment. Still, uncertainty has grown amid reports that around 6 lakh farmers may have been removed from the beneficiary list.

Reports of Name Removal Create Confusion Among Farmers

The confusion began after the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi 21st instalment was released nearly a month ago. In Maharashtra, 92.84 lakh farmers received benefits under the 20th Instalment, but beneficiary numbers declined in the 21st Instalment. This led to speculation that similar cuts might be made to the Namo Shetkari scheme, raising fears among farmers awaiting the 8th Instalment.

Several reports suggested that nearly 6 lakh names had been removed, triggering anxiety among beneficiaries who depend on this financial support.

Government Clarifies: No Major Cut in Beneficiary List

The concerned department has strongly denied these claims, calling the reports misleading. According to official sources, a total of 90,41,241 farmers are eligible to receive the Namo Shetkari 8th instalment. Officials clarified that benefits may be withheld only when KYC, Aadhaar linking, bank details, or eligibility conditions are incomplete or incorrect.

Authorities have reiterated that farmers who have completed all mandatory requirements will not encounter any issues receiving the Instalment.

How to Check Namo Shetkari Beneficiary Status Online?

Farmers can easily verify whether their name is on the list by visiting the official website at testdbtnsmny.mahaitgov.in. After selecting the Beneficiary Status option, they can search using their registration number, Aadhaar number, or mobile number. Once the details are entered, farmers must complete OTP verification linked to Aadhaar to view their full status.

The most important detail to check is the e-KYC status. If it shows “Success,” the Instalment should be credited without delay. If it appears “Pending,” farmers are advised to complete the process immediately to avoid payment issues.

Expected Date for Namo Shetkari 8th Instalment

Previously, the PM Kisan 20th instalment was released on August 2, 2025, followed by the Namo Shetkari 7th instalment approximately a month later. This time, although the PM Kisan 21st instalment has already been released, no official announcement has been made regarding the 8th Instalment of the Namo Shetkari Yojana.

However, based on prior trends and administrative timelines, the ₹2,000 instalment is expected to be credited by the end of December, provided all eligibility criteria are met.
