The new-age SUVs have some models whose only glimpses arouse curiosity in people. New-gen Kia Seltos is just like them. The company has released the first teaser video before its global premiere and this clip of just 20 seconds has created a stir on social media.
The most interesting thing is that this teaser is seen handling steering wheel Bobby Deol, a superstar from Bollywood who also fondly calls “Lord Bobby”. The world premiere date of New-gen Seltos has been set as December 10, 2025, and will be offered in a grand manner in New Delhi.

Front and Rear Profile
Let me tell you that Teaser video shows both the front and rear profiles of the SUV absolutely fantastic. Kia’s signature Tiger Face grille in Front appears with glossy black finish, giving it a lot of bold and modern look. New vertical daytime running lights (DRLs) are seen on either side of it, giving the design even more premium feel. This styling is exactly the kind it was seen in the recently shown new-gen Kia Telluride.
Its rear profile also looks quite fresh and futuristic, clearly inspired by the Carens Clavis. The connected LED tail-lamp setup, black bumper cladding, and sculpted boot-gate promise to give the SUV a distinct identity on the road.
Exterior Design
Although not every angle is visible in the teaser, details such as flush door handles, heavy body cladding, silver-finished roof rails and sporty kinked window line are also to be found in new-gen Seltos according to leaks and reports. All these elements give the SUV a clean yet muscular stance that will definitely attract premium SUV buyers.
Interior
The entire ambiance of the SUV inside the cabin is next-level. Kia has given twin 12.3-inch touchscreen layout taken from Syros, which will have digital driver display on one side and central infotainment system on the other. This gives the setup cabin a high-tech and premium visual appeal.
Talking about features, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, powered driver seat, wireless charging and LED welcome animations will become standard highlight in it. It is being reported that New-gen Seltos will also bring “Electric Boss Mode ” like Hyundai Creta, which will further increase rear seat comfort and luxury.
Safety
New-gen Seltos is not going to lag behind in terms of security. The SUV will receive 6 airbags standard and will also be given Level 2 ADAS suite which will include adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, forward collision warning, blind spot monitoring and many high-end safety features.
Features such as the 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake and tyre pressure monitoring system will also be present in it, allowing it to be installed as a safer SUV in its category.
Hybrid Tech
Talking about mechanical updates, new-gen Seltos will continue with 1.5L turbocharged petrol and 1.5L diesel engine options. But the biggest change is that it will be India’s first Kia SUV with strong hybrid technology.
The company will offer combination of battery and electric motor with 1.5L nature-aspirated petrol engine, leading to noticeable improvement in all three of mileage, performance and refinement. With the arrival of the Hybrid variant, it will directly compete with the Toyota Hyryder and Grand Vitara’s hybrid trims.

Launch
Talking about its launch, New-gen Kia Seltos will launch in the Indian market in the first half of 2026. The local production of the SUV will begin in the brand’s Andhra Pradesh-based Anantapur facility. Due to updated design and new hybrid tech, its price is expected to be much higher than the current model.
