MG Motors has introduced a new variant Exclusive Pro in the Windsor EV lineup, which comes with a bigger 52.9kWh battery and is Rs 85,000 cheaper than the top-spec Essence Pro. Its ex-showroom price has been set at Rs 17.25 lakh, while under the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) scheme, it will be available for Rs 12.24 lakh. So let’s know what special this new variant offers.

Price and Variants
The MG Windsor EV is now available in a total of 5 variants, priced between Rs 14 lakh and Rs 18.10 lakh. The new Exclusive Pro variant is cheaper than the Essence Pro but offers better features than the 38kWh Essence variant.

Battery and Range
The Exclusive Pro variant has a 52.9kWh battery, which offers a range of 449km as per ARAI tests. This is much better than the 38kWh variants (which have a range of 318km). The battery rental rate under the BaaS scheme is ₹4.5/km, which is slightly higher than the 38kWh variants (₹3.9/km).

Colour Options
The Exclusive Pro variant is available in Pearl White, Starry Black and Turquoise Green colour options. MG has tried to further strengthen the competition with the Tata Nexon EV (₹12.49-17.19 lakh) through this new variant.
