MG M9 Electric MPV : The partnership of MG Motor and JSW is now going to start a new chapter in India. Tomorrow, MG M9, which is an electric luxury MPV, is going to be launched in India. It will be sold exclusively through MG’s premium retail network “MG Select”. Booking of this vehicle has already started for ₹ 51,000 and can be done both online and through dealerships. This vehicle was first shown at the India Mobility Global Expo and since then it has become a topic of discussion.
Bigger in design and size, even more spacious from inside
The size of MG M9 is much bigger than any common MPV. Its length is 5,270 mm and the wheelbase is 3,200 mm. Its width is 2,000 mm and height is 1,840 mm, which makes it one of the largest MPVs in India. Its design focuses on special rear seat comfort, in which the second row seat has been lengthened to make seating and boarding easier.
Powerful in battery and performance
The MG M9 is a fully electric MPV with a 90 kWh battery. This battery is fitted under the floor, which also improves the ground clearance of the vehicle. This MPV gives 245 bhp of power and 350 Nm of torque, which gives it a powerful and smooth driving experience. The price of this vehicle is likely to be above ₹ 90 lakh.

The interior of the MG M9 has been made very premium and comfortable. It has 16-way adjustable seats that come with heating, ventilation and 8 types of massage modes. A large panoramic sunroof, 64 colors of ambient lighting, automatic climate control and a 12-speaker premium sound system make its comfort and entertainment more special.
Number one in safety and smart features too
This electric MPV has a total of 7 airbags, tire pressure monitoring system, electronic stability control, disc brakes on all four wheels, auto hold feature and 360 degree camera setup. Not only this, this vehicle also comes with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) technology, which makes driving even more safe and convenient.
There is also a choice in color and interior options
MG M9 will be offered in three great exterior colors – Cardiff Black, Luminous White and Mystic Gray. At the same time, two options will be given in the interior – Pure Black and Cognac Brown, from which customers can choose according to their choice and style.
Who will it compete with and why is it different
MG M9 is believed to be in direct competition with luxury MPVs like Kia Carnival and Toyota Vellfire. But since it is fully electric, it does not have any direct competition in the Indian market at present. Its electric powertrain, luxury features and spacious interiors make it stand out in a different segment.
