During this month, the sales of the Eeco model have once again reached the significant milestone of 10,000 units. The starting price for this vehicle is Rs 5.32 lakh, and it offers configurations for 5 to 7 passengers. This model is suitable for both personal and commercial use.
Sold over 11,000 units
In January 2025, the Maruti Suzuki Eeco demonstrated commendable performance, with the company selling 11,250 units. This figure reflects a slight decrease compared to December of the previous year, when 11,678 units were sold. However, from April to December in the fiscal year 2024-25, Eeco achieved total sales of 113,770 units, indicating that it continues to fulfill customer demands. Reports suggest that the company is preparing to launch a facelift version of this vehicle soon.
Dual airbags, an anti-lock braking system
The Maruti Eeco is equipped with features such as dual airbags, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution, and 3-point seat belts. The vehicle offers ample space and is available in both 5-seater and 7-seater configurations, with a total of 13 variants. It serves well for daily commuting and is also a viable option for small businesses, although passengers may experience fatigue on longer journeys due to its design limitations.
1.2-liter petrol engine that produces 81 PS of power
Under the hood, the Maruti Eeco is powered by a 1.2-liter petrol engine that produces 81 PS of power and 104 Nm of torque. This engine is paired exclusively with a 5-speed manual transmission, which may disappoint those seeking an automatic option.
To enhance fuel efficiency, a CNG variant is also available. In terms of fuel economy, the Eeco delivers a mileage of 20 kmpl in petrol mode and 27 km/kg when operating on CNG.
