Maruti Alto K10: A few years back, the price of a new vehicle typically saw an annual increase; however, the current trend indicates that car prices are now rising on a monthly basis. Automotive manufacturers are transferring the burden of escalating input costs onto consumers.
Maruti Suzuki raised the prices of its vehicles by 4%
Recently, Maruti Suzuki raised the prices of its vehicles by 4% last month, and in February, another price hike has been implemented. The Alto K10, often referred to as the car for the common man, has now become significantly more expensive. Given the circumstances, purchasing this vehicle may not be a prudent decision, as a slightly higher investment could yield better alternatives.
Alto latest price
The most affordable variant of Maruti Suzuki’s Alto K10 has seen an increase of Rs 19,500, particularly in its top variant, the VXI Plus (O), which is now available at an ex-showroom price of Rs 5.99 lakh. Meanwhile, the base variant’s ex-showroom price has risen to Rs 4.09 lakh.
Investing in the top model of this vehicle appears illogical, as for a marginally higher expenditure, one could consider purchasing the company’s Celerio, Wagon-R, or Swift. Additionally, the Alto K10 has strayed from its original design, now being regarded as an unattractive compact car. The Alto K10 can comfortably accommodate four passengers and is equipped with a 1.0L petrol engine, with a CNG option available.
In CNG mode, the vehicle achieves a mileage of 33.85 km. The handling and ride quality are satisfactory, and for safety, it includes features such as EBD, airbags, and an anti-lock braking system. While the Alto remains a reasonable choice for a small family, its elevated price is a source of disappointment.
Note: Prices may vary slightly depending on location, dealer, and model variant. It’s always recommended to check with your local dealer for the most accurate pricing and availability information.
