XUV700 comes with petrol and diesel powertrains. The mHawk diesel engine produces as much as 182 bhp, with the six-speed manual gearbox producing 420 Nm of torque and the automatic setting providing 450 Nm. The automatic model has an effortless city and highway drive with the assistance of smooth gear transitions and effortless clutch action.

Interestingly, Mahindra has now cut prices up to ₹75,000 for a few variants. Though the five-seater variant has been dropped, there will be a relabeled XUV500 in 2026.
