Design
The Mahindra XEV 7e is designed on the company’s XUV.e8 concept. This SUV will be completely based on the INGLO platform, the same platform being used in electric trains like Mahindra’s XEV 9e and BE 6.
The XEV 7e looks much like the XUV700 from the side profile if it comes to design, but has added some special EV features such as the new set of aerodynamic alloy wheels, full-width LED light bars, inverted L-shape DRLs and Closed-off front grille. These changes give it a more futuristic look than traditional SUVs.

Interior
Mahindra has included several advanced features to give premium feel to the interior of the XEV 7e. The SUV’s cabin features a triple screen dashboard setup, including all three 12.3-inch displays for a driver, one for infotainment, and one for a co-passenger.
In addition, the SUV will also feature Dolby Atmos support, multi-zone climate control, and a new two-spoke steering wheel with a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. Where flexibility is also maintained in the seating layout, this SUV will be available in both 6-seater (captain seats) and 7-seater variants.
Performance
However, the XEV 7e will see the same powertrain setup that the company has used in the XEV 9e. It will get LFP battery pack options of 59kWh and 79kWh. While the XEV 9e only comes in rear-wheel drive (RWD), the XEV 7e will also be offered in dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) variants. This will not only make this SUV strong in terms of performance, but will give a great ride experience from the city to the highway.

Technology
The Mahindra XEV 7e has been made quite advanced on both safety and technology fronts. The SUV will feature LEVEL 2+ ADAS systems, front and rear parking sensors, and several driver-assist features. In addition, electric SUVs will also include technologies such as connected car features, over-the-air updates (OTA) and voice-control support, proving it to be a premium product in its segment.
