New Delhi: Mahindra & Mahindra, India’s leading SUV manufacturer, has achieved its highest-ever annual SUV sales in the financial year 2025. The company sold a total of 5,51,487 SUV units, marking a robust 20% increase over the 4,59,864 units sold in FY2024. This surge was driven by high demand across a wide range of models.
Diverse Line-up Fuels Growth
The company’s popular ICE (internal combustion engine) SUV models — including the Bolero, Bolero Neo, XUV 3XO, Thar, Thar RWD, Scorpio Classic, Scorpio-N, and XUV700 — played a major role in this growth. Mahindra also continued to invest in the electric vehicle (EV) space with models like the XUV400, BE 6, and the XEV 9e.
Strong March Sales
March 2025 was also a strong month for Mahindra, with SUV sales rising 18% year-on-year. The company sold 48,048 units compared to 40,631 in the same month last year.
Official Statement Highlights Momentum
In an official statement, Mahindra said, “We closed FY2025 with the highest-ever annual SUV volume in our history. With 20% year-on-year growth, we also ensured vehicle registrations remained strong, helping us keep dealer inventory levels within the set norms.”
Leadership in Volume and Revenue
In addition to being the largest SUV manufacturer by volume in FY2025, Mahindra became the second-largest passenger vehicle maker in India in terms of revenue.
New Launches and Future Focus
To maintain momentum, Mahindra introduced several new models during the year, including the XUV 3XO, Thar Rox, and its new EV offerings BE 6 and XEV 9e. These launches reflect the brand’s commitment to innovation and its growing focus on sustainable mobility. With a strong portfolio and continued market leadership, Mahindra & Mahindra is well-positioned to shape the future of the SUV and EV segments in India.
