Jeep has kicked up the luxury factor with a new spin on one of its most revered SUVs. The recently debuted Grand Cherokee Signature Edition brings a handful of key updates to sell to premium consumers, adding more comfort, more intelligent tech, and more convenience at a reasonable premium.
What’s New in the Signature Edition
Jeep India has launched the Signature Edition on its current Grand Cherokee Limited (O) trim. It is priced at ₹69.04 lakh (ex-showroom), which is an extra ₹1.54 lakh from the regular model. But for this extra expense, there comes some very useful and premium additions that are bound to find takers among an elite crowd who are seeking luxury and functionality in a single package.
Rear Seat Luxury with Dual Entertainment Screens
Jeep has put emphasis on rear-seat opulence with two single entertainment screens added specifically for rear passengers. These 11.6-inch IPS displays operate on an Android interface and use a Cortex A55 processor. In addition to high-definition visuals, these displays have built-in audio, wireless connectivity, and auxiliary input. The screens provide mirrored control, adding to the luxury rear-seat experience that replicates executive-class comfort.
Added Tech with Front and Rear Dash Cameras
Another considerate addition is the addition of dashboard cameras at the front and back. These can both record simultaneously, saving real-time video to the vehicle’s onboard data system. This design not only adds security but also provides drivers with convenient access to previous recordings and live views based on what they require.
No Mechanical Changes
Jeep has opted not to mess with the fundamental mechanical configuration. The Signature Edition still uses the Limited (O) 4X4 AT platform. Every aspect including ground clearance, approach angles, and off-road ability are untouched, keeping the vehicle delivering the tough performance inherent with the Grand Cherokee.
Limited Availability and Bookings Open
While Jeep hasn’t specified the number of units that will be available, the reference to “limited availability” suggests a limited production volume. Already, reservations for this limited edition have commenced in India through Jeep’s official dealerships. More information is available on the company’s official Indian website.
