Great news for bike enthusiasts. KTM has made a splash in India with the launch of its new entry-level motorcycle, the 160 Duke. Priced at approximately ₹1.85 lakh (ex-showroom), this bike is KTM’s most affordable motorcycle yet, positioned just below the 200 Duke in the company’s lineup.
It’s poised to give tough competition to bikes like the Yamaha MT 15 V2. If you’re looking for a 160cc bike with premium looks, racing design, and powerful performance, the KTM 160 Duke could be a strong choice. Learn about its engine power, powerful features, and price details.
India’s Most Powerful 160cc Bike

KTM claims that the 160 Duke will be India’s most powerful 160cc motorcycle. This bike makes no compromises when it comes to performance, carrying forward KTM’s racing heritage. It is powered by a 160cc liquid-cooled engine derived from the 200 Duke platform. This engine produces a robust 18.74 bhp and 15.5 Nm of torque.
The same engine and chassis are expected to be used in the upcoming RC 160. Suspension duties are handled by a WP USD front fork (138 mm travel) and a WP monoshock (161 mm travel) at the rear. Braking is handled by 320 mm disc brakes at the front and 230 mm disc brakes at the rear, ensuring excellent control.
Look, Design, and Racing
KTM says the 160 Duke is designed in keeping with the brand’s traditional design philosophy, blending high-performance character and premium sporty looks. Its racing-inspired design offers an aggressive riding position and agile handling.
The motorcycle features KTM’s signature LED headlight (two-part design), sharp tank shroud, muscular fuel tank, sleek tail section, and LED taillight. The bike is available in two main paint options—an orange-black signature theme and a blue-white combination with orange elements.
Technical Features and Warranty

The KTM 160 Duke is also advanced in terms of features. It features a 5.0-inch LCD instrument cluster. It offers features like smartphone connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call reception, and music playback. These features make the riding experience extremely convenient.
The KTM 160 Duke is priced at approximately ₹1.85 lakh (ex-showroom), making it an attractive entry point into the KTM lineup. The company is offering a 10-year warranty on this bike, providing unparalleled customer confidence. Several financing options will also be available for buyers. Deliveries will begin at dealers on August 12th.
