Vida VX2: If you are planning to purchase a cheap electric scooter, there’s good news for you ahead. A new cost-effective model is arriving soon, which will also try to take on even established brands like TVS and Ola. Hero MotoCorp’s Vida is gearing up to release the VX2, which offers a blend of contemporary features, robust range, and competitive prices. This is what you need to know.

Vida VX2 Electric Scooter Launch

Hero MotoCorp’s electric brand Vida is ready to launch another budget-friendly scooter for Indian motorcycle enthusiasts. The new Vida VX2 will be launched on 1 July and will target budget shoppers seeking a stylish and functional electric bike. The VX2 will compete with popular brands like TVS, Bajaj, Ola, and Ather, seeking to cut some deals with its affordable price.

Battery and Range

The VX2 will have battery pack capacities from 2.2 kWh to 3.4 kWh, just like in the V2 range. Based on battery selection, the scooter should provide a range of more than 100 km with a fully charged battery. Due to easily removable battery packs, indoor charging or battery swapping will become convenient and sensible for city dwellers.

Pricing Details

Hero Vida has announced that the VX2 may begin at approximately ₹1 lakh ex-showroom. But the interesting aspect is the Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) option. Here, riders can opt for a standalone battery rental as opposed to purchasing the battery outright. The BaaS route could reduce the starting price of the scooter to around ₹70,000, which makes it highly appealing to buyers who are looking for a pay-as-you-use plan.

Scooter Design

Hero unveiled a teaser clip of the VX2, revealing glimpses of its new-age looks. It appears to be like the Vida Z concept unveiled at EICMA 2024. The VX2 will feature a minimalist, lean body with refreshed styling features over the V2. Riders can expect a flat seat, toggle buttons on the handlebar that are easy to use, and a clean digital display for ride information.

Comfort and Features

With its straightforward flat seat and comfort-oriented handlebars, the VX2 should be usable every day. Its small size will be simpler to handle in urban traffic, and the digital instrumentation screen will make it easy for riders to monitor speed, battery charge, and range. All these features combined promise to provide a contemporary riding experience at a reasonable price.
