TVS Jupiter : TVS is gearing up to launch a first-of-its-kind scooter that has the potential to transform the way people travel. The new scooter is powered on two fuels, delivers great mileage, and features some segment-firsts. If you’re looking for a fuel-efficient scooter with lots of smart tech, this one’s worth considering.
TVS Jupiter CNG: Dual Fuel Efficiency
TVS is ready to foray into the CNG segment with its first factory-fitted CNG scooter, TVS Jupiter CNG. It was recently showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. It is dual fuel-based, meaning users can switch the fuel with a simple button. This is a convenient option for daily commutes.
Mileage Up to 84Km on CNG
The single largest advantage of this scooter is its high mileage. While standard petrol scooters give about 45–50 km/l, Jupiter CNG can go as far as 84 km per kg of CNG. It also comes with a 2-litre petrol tank and a 1.4 kg CNG tank, which combined will provide a total range of 226 kilometres when the tank is full. This makes it a clever choice for users who cover longer distances on a daily basis.
Performance and Engine Power
Jupiter CNG is driven by a 124.8cc single-cylinder motor. It gives 5.3kW of power and 9.4Nm of torque. With the same, the scooter has the capability to achieve a top speed of 80.5 km/h, well able to suit city roads as well as somewhat longer distances. The fuel-switchover function through button makes the transition between petrol and CNG seamless on the move.
Design and Comfort Features
This scooter is equipped with Maxx metal body and India’s biggest seat in the segment for superior comfort. There is increased leg space, along with external fuel lid, semi-digital speedometer, and front USB mobile charger for added convenience. These features ensure the scooter is comfortable for rider as well as pillion riders.
Smart Tech and Safety Features
Jupiter CNG features advanced technology such as ETFi, IntelliGO, and Body Balance Technology to provide a more comfortable ride. Safety features include a side-stand engine inhibitor and all-in-one lock system. An option to switch between CNG and petrol is located neatly for instant fuel changes without interrupting the ride.
Expected Launch and Price
TVS has not made any formal announcement regarding the launch date, but it is believed that it will reach stores by late 2025. The price of ex-showroom might be around ₹1 lakh and will be an affordable yet technologically empowered scooter in the market.
