Maruti Suzuki e-Vitara & Toyota Urban Cruiser BEV
Maruti Suzuki is going to enter the EV market with its first midsize electric SUV. The company has also started its production for the international market at Gujarat plant, while its launching in India is scheduled for next month.
Premium features such as dual battery packs, ventilated seats, and Level 2 ADAS are expected in this SUV. Soon after, Toyota will bring its Urban Cruiser BEV. Both SUVs will be based on the same platform and battery system, but both will have their own distinct identity in terms of design.
Hyundai Compact e-SUV & Kia EV
Hyundai is preparing for a new compact electric SUV India-Specific Market. The model will be positioned below Creta Electric and its design may be largely similar to Hyundai Inster. Although its specifications have not been revealed, it is believed that this model will be an economical and feature-rich option for everyday driving in cities.
On the other hand Kia can also bring its compact EV based on the Syros platform. Even though its official announcement is yet to be made, the company’s strategy is expected to resemble Hyundai.
Tata Sierra EV
Tata Motors first brought back the ICE-powered Sierra and now its electric model will be introduced in early 2026. Technology can be taken from Curvv EV and Harrier EV in Sierra EV. Especially Harrier EV’s large battery pack will give it a longer range, making this SUV a reliable alternative to longer drives. Like Tata’s designs, the Sierra EV will also come with an iconic and modern look.
Mahindra XUV 3XO EV & Mahindra BE Rall-E
Mahindra is going to take off the XUV 3XO EV in the compact EV segment, taking the next step. This SUV will directly compete with the Tata Punch EV and may become the company’s most affordable electric offering. It will get two battery options and the range is expected to go up to around 450+ km, making it suitable for both everyday and long trips.

Now let’s talk about BE Rall-E, an interesting and adventure-focused model of Mahindra. This SUV developed on the INGLO platform will come with off-road styling, strong body and adventure themed features. Its production model is likely to arrive in 2026. Many of its interiors will be taken from the BE6, giving it a modern and stylish approach.
