Maruti Suzuki has finally taken the wraps off its new flagship SUV, named Victoris. It will be sold through Arena dealerships and positioned above the Brezza. The company aims to strengthen its presence in the Indian passenger vehicle market with this premium offering. Victoris will compete directly with Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos in the growing SUV segment.

5-Star Safety Rating at Launch

The biggest highlight of Victoris is its 5-star safety rating, awarded by Bharat NCAP right from launch. This score applies across all tested variants, including ZXI+ Strong Hybrid eCVT, ZXI+(O) Strong Hybrid eCVT, and ZXI+(O) 6AT. Such results show that Maruti has built the SUV on a strong foundation with a focus on passenger protection.

Advanced Platform and Features

Victoris is based on Suzuki’s new Global C-Platform, designed for strength and safety. Maruti Suzuki confirmed that this SUV will be the flagship product for Arena outlets. Along with modern design, the car includes safety assist technology and advanced features to attract family buyers.

Safety Assist Technology

Maruti has equipped Victoris with several standard safety features. These include electronic stability control, pedestrian protection system, side head protection airbags, and seatbelt reminders for all rows. Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are also part of the package, which enhances protection on highways and city drives alike.

Adult Safety Performance

In crash tests, Victoris showed excellent results for adult safety. It scored 31.66 points out of 32, proving its strong body structure and passenger protection. In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, it achieved 15.66 points out of 16. In the side movable barrier test, it secured the full 16 points. Even in the side pole impact test, it earned an acceptable rating. With standard airbags, seatbelt pre-tensioners, and load limiters, the SUV delivered impressive safety outcomes.

Child Safety Scores

Victoris also performed strongly in child safety assessments. It scored 43 out of 49 overall. In the dynamic assessment, it achieved the full 24 points, ensuring child dummy protection in crash simulations. The SUV scored 12 out of 12 in CRS installation, proving full compatibility with ISOFIX and i-Size systems like Dualfix 5Z with Vario Base. Vehicle assessment brought 7 out of 13 points, which indicates some scope for improvement. Still, it ensures good protection for 18-month and 3-year-old dummies.
