New Delhi: India’s car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki may launch its first all-electric SUV, the e-Vitara, in the Indian market in April 2025. This electric SUV was recently showcased at Auto Expo 2025.
This EV from Maruti Suzuki will be based on the company’s Heartect e-platform and will be equipped with several modern technologies and safety features. Due to its powerful battery pack and long range, it could become a great option for Indian customers.
Powerful Battery and Impressive Range
The Maruti e-Vitara will come with two battery pack options. It generates 141 bhp of power and offers a range of up to 500 kilometers. The e-Vitara generates 171 bhp of power and will deliver around 500 kilometers of range on a single charge. Both battery variants will offer 189 Nm of peak torque.
Interior Design and Comfort
The interior of this car is also impressive and comfortable. It will offer four dual-tone interior options, giving the cabin a more premium feel. The car will feature split-folding seats that can be folded for extra luggage space. Additionally, it includes a dual-screen display with a new operating system.
e-Vitara Safety and Advanced Features
This electric SUV is equipped with ADAS Level 2 technology, making it safer and more advanced. It includes Adaptive Cruise Control, which automatically controls speed. The Lane Keep Assist feature helps the car stay in the correct lane. For safety, the car comes with 7 airbags, which will be a standard feature in all variants.
Variants and Price
The Maruti e-Vitara will be launched in three different variants: Delta, Zeta, and Alpha. The expected price of this electric SUV could range between ₹20 lakh to ₹25 lakh (ex-showroom).
