2026 MG Hector Facelift – It’s rare for someone considering buying an SUV not to consider the MG Hector. The reason is clear: this SUV has been attracting people from the very beginning with its size, features, and road presence. Now, at the beginning of 2026, MG has launched the new facelifted Hector in the Indian market.
Priced from ₹11.99 lakh (ex-showroom), this time the focus is more on improving the look, cabin feel, and technology rather than changing the powertrain. This means that for those who already liked the Hector, it has now become even more premium.

Design
Talking about its design, the 2026 MG Hector Facelift is the largest update to the front, the new chrome grille, which uses a bold hexagonal pattern. This grill gives the SUV a wider and stronger look than before. The front and rear bumpers have also received a redesign, making the Hector look more muscular on the road. The new alloy wheels make its stance stronger. In addition, two new exterior colors Celadon Blue and Pearl White have been added, giving the SUV a fresh and modern feel.

Interior
The interior of the MG Hector Facelift now feels more soft, classy and premium than before. The five-seater variant now offers the dual-tone Ice Gray interior theme, while the six- and seven-seater versions feature the Urban Tan dual-tone layout. Hydrophobic black-blue inserts with Hydra Gloss finish have been used in the cabin, giving it a luxury touch.
Features such as ventilated front seats, six-way power adjustable driver seats and tilt and telescopic steering make long drives more comfortable. Optional leather package is also available for those who want a more premium touch.
14-inch touchscreen
MG Hector is already known for its large touchscreen and the facelift also retains this identity. It features the segment’s largest 14-inch HD portrait touchscreen, which now works smoother and faster with new software and technology.

The most interesting feature is its segment-first touch gesture control system. Functions such as climate control, audio and navigation can be operated with swipes of two or three fingers. This feature gives the car a smart device-like experience.
Engine
The engine and gearbox options are placed as before in the 2026 MG Hector Facelift, which seems like a sensible decision. It features a 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine, which generates 143 PS power and 250 Nm of torque. Both 6-speed manual and CVT automatic options are available for transmission. This engine provides balanced performance for both city and highway, making everyday driving easier as well.

Also the 360-degree HD camera with wheel view makes tight parking and driving at low speeds much easier. Digital Bluetooth key, remote AC control, predictive maintenance alerts and fully digital instrument clusters take it much further in terms of technology.
