Amrit Bharat Train: Big shock for railway passengers. The Amrit Bharat Express, a special train service, will now have fares equivalent to mail-express rates. This decision has been made by the Railways in light of the upcoming festive season.
If a Train on Demand or a Festival Special Train operates using the Amrit Bharat Train’s rack, the fare will be aligned with that of Mail-Express trains designated as special services.
Praveen Kumar, the Railway Board Director of Passenger Marketing Coordination, has communicated this directive to all railway zones. Special mail and express trains impose a 10 percent additional fare for second class and a 30 percent surcharge for all other classes. This same pricing structure will be applied to the special Amrit Bharat trains.
