Amrit Bharat Express: Good news for railway passengers. The railways has made a significant announcement for the residents of Bihar who travel to Ahmedabad in Gujarat. They have decided to introduce a weekly Amrit Bharat Express train that will operate between Bhagalpur and Ahmedabad. This new service will greatly benefit many districts in Bihar.
Additionally, the railways has chosen to regularize the weekly special train that runs between Ahmedabad and Patna, renaming it as the 19423/19424 Ahmedabad-Bhagalpur-Ahmedabad Amrit Bharat Express. The regular service will commence from Ahmedabad every Wednesday starting August 26th, and from Bhagalpur every Friday beginning August 28th.
The train will depart from Ahmedabad on Wednesdays and from Bhagalpur on Fridays. According to the railway, the Amrit Bharat Express will leave Ahmedabad at 6:30 am on Wednesday and reach Bhagalpur at 6:40 am on the third day. For the return trip, the train will leave Bhagalpur at 4:45 pm on Friday and arrive in Ahmedabad at 5:25 am on the third day.
In June, the Railways sought a feasibility report to assess the regular operation of this train, and following the report’s findings, the operation has been approved.
What stations will the Bhagalpur-Ahmedabad Amrit Bharat Express stop at?
The Bhagalpur-Ahmedabad Amrit Bharat Express is set to make stops at several key stations, including Kiul, Lakhisarai, Abhaypur, Jamalpur, Ajgaivinath Dham, Patna, Ara, Buxar, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Junction, the Prayagraj region, Agra, Kota, Ratlam, and Godhra. The journey from Bhagalpur to Ahmedabad will take approximately 36 hours. The train will cover a distance of around 1976 kilometers between the two cities. The trip from Ahmedabad to Bhagalpur is expected to take about 36 hours and 10 minutes, while the return journey will take approximately 36 hours and 15 minutes. The train will consist of a total of 22 coaches.
The railway is expected to announce the date for booking tickets for passengers traveling from Bhagalpur to Ahmedabad soon.
