Tata Consultancy Services or TCS is one of the largest IT companies in the country. And that is why many people also bet on TCS in the stock market. They think that investing in this large-cap stock will give good profits. However, the current condition of this stock is very bad.

Its price fell by Rs 2585 on Friday. As a result, the condition of investors has worsened. Even the market capitalization of the company has fallen. The market capitalization has decreased by Rs 9.60 lakh crore. As a result, TCS, which was in fourth place among Indian companies two days ago, has now dropped to sixth place.

Incidentally, the price of the share has now dropped a lot. It had reached its highest high of Rs 4592 in August 2024. And now the price of that stock has dropped to Rs 2585. The price has decreased by 44 percent.

After Friday, the share price of TCS reached the price of September 22, 2020. Which simply means that even after 5 years, the shares of this company have given zero returns.

Although not only TCS, now Infosys and Wipro have fallen in price a lot. Because, ADR has fallen by 10 percent. Then the problems in the stock market increase.

Where is the worry?

IT stocks have been in a bad situation since the advent of AI. AI company Anthropic has already claimed that IT companies charge a lot of money. They also take more time to work. Then the question arises on the business model of IT companies.

At one time, it was thought that legal services, data analytics and customer support systems would be safe from AI for the time being. However, things have changed overnight. And in such a situation, investors have become very cautious.

It should be noted that Nifty and Sensex fell a lot on Friday. Nifty plunged 336 points. And the Sensex index fell to 82600 points. As a result, 7 lakh crore rupees sank from the stock market.
