Gold Rate Down Feb 5 – Gold Drops by ₹4,500; Silver falls ₹24,000 on MCX

Gold Rate Down Today: Gold and silver prices have been fluctuating for the past few days. The prices of gold and silver change daily. Sometimes gold prices rise rapidly, and sometimes they fall. On Thursday, the prices of gold and silver on the Multi-Commodity Exchange (MCX) plummeted as soon as the market opened. On MCX, the futures price of silver fell sharply by up to Rs. 24,000 per kg, while the price of gold also saw a decline of more than Rs. 4500. The fall in gold and silver prices has brought considerable relief to people, as gold jewellery is bought in large quantities during the wedding season.

Silver Price Falls: On the MCX, the 1 kg silver price for the March 5th expiry closed at Rs. 2,68,850 on the last trading day. When futures trading began, it fell to Rs. 2,44,654 per kilogram. This means silver became cheaper by Rs. 24,196.

At the end of last month, on January 29, the price of silver had crossed Rs. 4 lakh per kg and touched a new all-time high of Rs. 4,20,048. However, since then, silver prices have declined significantly. Compared to the high rate, futures silver is currently available at Rs. 1,75,394 cheaper.

Gold Rates Fall: Gold prices also fell as soon as the market opened. On the last trading day, the rate of 10 grams of 24-karat gold for the April 2nd expiry closed at Rs. 1,53,046, and on Thursday, it fell to Rs. 1,48,455 per 10 grams. This makes it Rs. 4,591 cheaper per 10 grams.
