The year 2026 is starting a bit differently for Nissan India. While the company is poised to launch a new product, a major SUV project has been put on hold. The launch date for the new Nissan Gravit MPV has now been confirmed, but the long-awaited Nissan Tekton SUV has been pushed back. Clearly, Nissan is making a big move.
Unveil Date
Let me tell you that Nissan India has confirmed officially that Nissan Gravite MPV will be introduced on 17 February. The model was first to be launched on 21 January, but the company later extended its date. Now this new date of February is considered completely final.
There have also been indications from the company that Gravite’s delivery may begin in March. It is believed that its prices will also be disclosed by the end of February. That is, launch, price and delivery are seen coming in line all three fast.
Design and Colour Options
Nissan has released Gravite’s teaser, which has revealed its color options. This MPV will come in a special teal shed, which will give it a different identity from the crowd. Apart from this, classic colors like white, silver, black and grey will also be found, so that every kind of buyer can get a choice.

Talking of design, Gravite offers horizontal LED DRLs, which are beautifully integrated into the headlamp units. Chrome slat is given on the front grille, and embossed on the bonnet “Gravite” lettering gives it a strong road presence. At the rear are split tail-lamps, which are connected to the horizontal strip running on the tailgate. The Gravite badge in the middle gives it a clean and premium look.
Engine
Nissan Gravite is designed on the Renault Triber platform. It is expected to have the same 1.0-liter petrol engine, which can come with the manual and AMT gearbox options. This engine is considered well-known and reliable for city use. Nissan has not yet provided much information about the features and variants, but the company can cover it up when it comes close to launch.

Nissan Tekton SUV
While Gravite’s date is locked, fans of the Nissan Tekton SUV will have to wait a bit. The company has postponed the launch of Tekton and the new Revival date has not been announced. Interestingly, Gravite was also re-scheduled earlier, and now Tekton’s number arrived.

Tekton Interior, Engine and Expected Price
Nissan Tekton on the inside is likely to receive a three-tone dashboard, glossy black panels and bronze color trim. The list of features may include premium elements such as wireless charger, automatic climate control and sunroof.

The engine option is expected to offer a 1.3-liter turbo petrol engine, while entry-level variants can offer a 1.0-liter turbo petrol engine, which is already present in the Nissan Magnite. Later a hybrid version can also be added to the line-up. Both manual and automatic — gearbox options are likely to be found. Talking about the price, Tekton’s X-showroom price can be between 10 and 11 lakh rupees.
