NTA JEE Mains 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the answer key and response sheet for the JEE Main Session-1 exam today, February 4th. Candidates can now download their answer key through the official website. Along with the answer key, candidates’ individual response sheets and the official question paper have also been made available.
Students can download them from the jeemain.nta.nic.in website. The exam was conducted from January 21 to 29 at designated examination centres across the country. After the exam, the National Testing Agency released the provisional answer key and response sheet for download on February 4th.
With the help of the answer key, candidates can estimate their probable scores. However, it is essential to know the JEE Main marking scheme for this. The agency has also provided a formula for calculating marks that students can use to estimate their score.
JEE Main 2026 Marking Scheme:
According to the marking scheme, 4 marks are awarded for each correct answer. 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer. If a question is left unanswered or marked for review, no marks are awarded or deducted.
JEE Mains Marks Calculator:
To calculate their marks, candidates must first download the JEE Main 2026 answer key and their response sheet from the official website. Compare your given answers with the official correct answers. Note down the number of correct and incorrect answers separately and then apply the official marking scheme. The total marks obtained through this process will be considered your probable score.

Subtract 1 multiplied by the number of incorrect answers from 4 multiplied by the number of correct answers. This will give you your correct score.
JEE Main 2026 Answer Key: Follow these steps to download the answer key:
Step 1: Students must first visit the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in
Step 2: Click the link to the answer key in the latest news section.
Step 3: Now, enter the required details (application number, date of birth) and submit them.
Step 4: The answer key will open on the screen. Step 5: Now download the answer key and take a printout for future use.
