Vande Bharat Sleeper Ticket Booking: The Vande Bharat sleeper train has been launched, making travel much easier for people. Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the Vande Bharat sleeper train from Howrah in West Bengal to Guwahati on January 17, 2026.
According to Indian Railways, train number 27576 Kamakhya-Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper Express will begin its commercial journey from January 22. Train number 27575, Howrah-Kamakhya Vande Bharat Sleeper Express,s will commence commercial services from January 23.

How to Book Tickets
Guwahati-Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper tickets can be booked online and offline. The ticket booking process is easy. Passengers can book tickets online through the IRCTC website or the Rail Connect and RailOne mobile apps. Alternatively, passengers who wish to book tickets offline can contact the Passenger Reservation System counter at railway stations.
Book Tickets Online
Those wishing to travel by Vande Bharat Sleeper can book tickets online.
If you don’t have an account on the IRCTC website, you will need to create one.
Then log in with your username and password.
Then enter your travel details, such as the origin and destination stations, travel date, and class.
Then click on search to see the list of available trains.
After that, select Vande Bharat SL from the list and choose the class shown for the train.
Then click on ‘Book Now’ to start the booking process.
After that, on the passenger reservation page, check that the train name, stations, class, and date are filled in correctly. Next, enter thpassenger’ser details, including name, age, gender, and berth preference.
After filling in the information, click on ‘Continue’.
The screen will then display the ticket details, total fare, and berth availability.
After verifying everything, click on ‘Continue’ to proceed with the payment.
Then, select your preferred payment option from the available payment gateways.
After successful payment, the ticket confirmation page will be displayed.
This completes your booking.
For your information, according to the Railway Board, only passengers with confirmed tickets will be allowed to board the Howrah-Guwahati Vande Bharat Sleeper train. Passengers with RAC (Reservation Against Cancellation), waitlisted, or partially confirmed tickets will not be permitted to board the train.

Important Train Information
All berths on the Vande Bharat Sleeper Express will be available for booking from the first day of the reservation period. The minimum fare will be calculated for 400 km. Fare rounding will be done according to current railway rules.
The Vande Bharat Sleeper train will have only four reservation quotas: Ladies quota, Divyang (differently-abled) quota, Senior Citizen quota, and Duty Pass quota. No other quotas will be available on this train. The Railway Board has stated that to ensure refunds are processed within 24 hours of cancellation, all payments will be accepted only through digital methods.
According to the board, when purchasing tickets at the counter, the preferred mode of payment will be digital. If a customer is unable to make a digital payment, the refund upon cancellation will be processed according to normal terms and conditions.
