PM Awas Yojana Update: Everyone dreams of owning their own home, but due to continuously rising inflation, this dream often remains just a dream.  To help people realize their dreams, the central and state governments are working together.

The Uttar Pradesh government has made a significant announcement. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has clearly stated that on January 18th, the first installment of Rs 1 lakh will be transferred to the accounts of more than 2 lakh beneficiaries of the PM Awas Yojana in the state. This amount will be transferred via DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) with a single click. Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, Manohar Lal Khattar, will also be present.  Following Yogi Adityanath’s announcement, happiness is clearly visible on people’s faces.

Program to be held on Sunday

A program will be held at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan on Sunday, where approximately 1,500 beneficiaries will be present.  Other beneficiaries will join online from their respective districts. Public representatives will also be present in all the districts. Instructions have been given to organize all the programs grandly. This will provide significant benefits to the people.

Chief Minister to interact with beneficiaries

During the program, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also interact directly with the beneficiaries. During this interaction, he will share information about the progress of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, its social impact, and the government’s plans. The government’s objective is to ensure that eligible families living in urban areas receive permanent housing on time.

Housing construction to gain momentum

The release of the first installment will accelerate the construction of houses for the beneficiaries. This will ensure that the construction work is completed promptly and will prove to be a crucial step towards providing safe and permanent housing to the urban poor.  Urban Development Minister AK Sharma and senior officials of the department will also be present at the program to monitor the arrangements and implementation of the scheme.
