Aadhaar Card Update: UIDAI, the Aadhaar card issuing body, recently launched a new Aadhaar app, making it easier than ever to update Aadhaar-related information. Through this app, users can change their mobile number and address online from the comfort of their homes. The mobile number update feature has been launched on this app since today. In the future, users will also be able to update their name, address, and email ID through this app.

The most significant feature of this new Aadhaar app is that there will be no need to upload any documents to update information. The entire process will be completed through OTP verification and face authentication. This will provide significant relief, especially to the elderly and those living in rural areas, as they will no longer need to visit an Aadhaar centre.
How to Change Name, Address, and Mobile Number
According to UIDAI, this app will make the process of updating Aadhaar faster and simpler. Necessary changes can be made in a matter of minutes, saving users the hassle of waiting in line or handling paperwork.
To use the Aadhaar app, first download the Aadhaar app on your smartphone. Then, enter your Aadhaar number and complete registration via OTP or face authentication. After logging in, you can set a 6-digit M-PIN for future reference, making it easier to open the app next time.

If you want to update your mobile number through the Aadhaar app, first log in to the app. Scroll down on the home page and tap “My Aadhaar Update” in the Services section. Select “Mobile Number Update.” Read the necessary instructions and proceed. The old mobile number will appear on the screen, followed by the option to enter the new mobile number below. After entering the new number, verify the OTP.
After the OTP is verified, you must complete face authentication, which requires blinking once while looking at the camera. Upon successful face verification, a fee of ₹75 must be deposited online. The process of updating the mobile number will be completed once the payment is completed.
