How to Check Aadhaar Status Online from Home

You can easily check your Aadhaar status from the comfort of your home in just a few minutes. To do this, you need to visit the official UIDAI website. Once on the website, you’ll need to find the ‘Verify Email/Mobile’ service. Select this option. Next, you’ll need to enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number and the email or mobile number you want to verify.

Submit an OTP request to the system. If the OTP arrives immediately, it means your Aadhaar is active and linked to your mobile or email. If the OTP doesn’t arrive or an error appears, it may indicate deactivation.

You can also check your Aadhaar status through the mAadhaar app. If you log in to the app and your profile opens, your Aadhaar is definitely active. If the app doesn’t allow you to log in or your profile isn’t visible, it may indicate that your Aadhaar has been deactivated. You can also check whether your Aadhaar is active or inactive directly from the Resident UIDAI portal under the ‘Verify Aadhaar’ option.

Call the toll-free number to check the status

If you don’t want to check online, you can call the UIDAI toll-free number 1947. By providing your Aadhaar number to customer care, they will immediately inform you of the status. This verification is necessary because Aadhaar is crucial for daily services.
