Kia Seltos: After its launch in 2019, Kia Seltos has not touched anyone in the Indian SUV market. Now, almost seven years later, Kia is bringing this popular SUV in a completely new way. The new Kia Seltos will be launched in India on 2 January 2026, but its global variant has already surfaced. The new model has come with a fully refreshed design, new platforms and more premium cabins. Such is the question of what is the real difference between the new Seltos and the old Seltos and what is kept.

Exterior design
It is clear at first sight of the new Kia Seltos that the company has not made any agreement with the design. Its front face now looks more bold and muscular. The new ‘Tiger Face ’ grills, boxy LED headlamps and the multiple DRLs in them give it a completely different identity from the older model. DRLs on either side of the grill also serve as turn indicators, making it more futuristic.
The design of the bumper is also completely new. While the older model had rugged black cladding, the new model gets a gloss-black finish, making the SUV look more premium. The design of the fog lamps has been changed, but the body-colored trim around them has been retained.

Rear design
Let me tell you, the new Seltos look more soft and clean from behind. Its slim LED taillamps are inspired by the Kia Carens Clavis, which looks more minimal than the older model. Kia’s logo is now shifted under light bars and the rear wiper is hidden under the spoiler.
The rear bumper features a gloss-black finish, body-colored elements and a fox silver skid plate, which matches the front. Color options also include new monotone shades such as — Morning Haze, Magma Red, Frost Blue and Ivory Silver Gloss.
Interior
The difference is seen as soon as you step into the cabin. The dashboard of the new Seltos comes with a more straightforward and modern design. The new 3-spoke steering wheel is flat from top and bottom and features drive mode, terrain mode, music and ADAS controls.
The biggest highlight is the Dual 12.3-inch screen setup, which serves both instrument clusters and infotainment. A 5-inch separate touchscreen is provided between them, allowing climate control to operate. The good thing is that Kia also retains physical AC buttons, making use easier.
Features
In features, the new Seltos looks absolutely full SUV. Features such as panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, dual-zone climate control, ventilated front seats and 8-speaker Bose sound system are found here as in older models.

The driver seat is now 10-way power adjustable, with lumbar support, memory, and relaxation functions. The memory function also remembers ORVM positions, which are quite useful in everyday use. The boot space has also increased to 447 liters, which is 13 liters more than the old model.
The new Seltos is also fully ready on the safety front. Features such as 6 airbags, 360-degree camera, blind spot monitor, level-2 ADAS, TPMS, electronic parking brake and disc brake in all four wheels make it stronger in the segment.

Engine
Kia hasn’t experimented much here. The new Seltos retains the same reliable engine options—a 115hp naturally aspirated petrol, a 160hp turbo petrol, and a 116hp diesel. All of these are available with both manual and automatic gearbox options. So, the performance remains familiar, but the packaging is entirely new.
