PF Balance Check: Employed individuals contribute to their Provident Fund (PF) from their salaries. The Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) is not only a post-retirement support, but also useful during major expenses like marriage, children’s education, medical needs, or home construction. While checking your PF account balance used to be extremely difficult, technology has evolved, allowing people to easily check their PF accounts from the comfort of their homes. Let us explain three simple tricks to check your PF account balance…
Check PF balance on EPFO website
If you’re internet-friendly and use it frequently, you can view all your PF account transactions and details by visiting the EPFO website. To do this, visit the official website (epfindia.gov.in). Once the homepage opens, select the “For Employees” option in the “Our Services” section. Then, click on Member Passbook. This page will take you to a login page. Enter your UAN and password on this login page. Within seconds, your PF passbook will appear, where you can view your entire account for the past year. You can also download it if you wish.
Want to know how much cash is in your PF account? Just send an SMS!
These days, not everyone is tech-savvy, but you can still check your PF account balance through SMS. If your UAN is linked with the EPFO, just text 7738299899 from your registered mobile number.
Make sure to follow the right format when sending your SMS
To find out your PF account balance via SMS, you need to send a message in this format: EPFOHO UAN ENG. If you want the info in Hindi, swap ENG for HIN. You’ll get your PF balance sent to your phone in just a few moments.
You can also find out your PF account details by making a missed call
This method is super easy! Just ensure your mobile number is connected to your UAN. If it is, give a missed call to 011-22901406 from your registered number. The call will hang up automatically, but you’ll get an SMS with your PF balance in a few seconds.
