Andhra Pradesh Bus Accident: Nine people were killed, and 22 were injured after a bus accident on Ghat Road in Alluri Sitarama Raju district, Andhra Pradesh. According to initial reports, the bus lost control and fell into a deep ravine between Chintur and Bhadrachalam around 5:30 am. Around 35 people on board were travelling to Annavaram after visiting the Bhadrachalam temple. The accident occurred near Thulasipakalu village, where the road is known to be narrow and winding. There were 35 passengers on board, bringing the total to 37, including the driver and cleaner.

After the bus plunged into the ravine, there was chaos at the scene. Many passengers were trapped inside. Locals initially began rescue operations and informed the police. Chintur police, rescue teams, and ambulances arrived shortly thereafter.
Rescue workers cut the bus open to rescue those trapped inside. According to initial information, nine people died in the accident, and several passengers were seriously injured. Seven injured people were immediately admitted to the CHC Chintoor Hospital, 15 kilometres away, where they are undergoing treatment. The administration says that once the wounded stabilise, they will be referred to Bhadrachalam for better treatment.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan Expresses Condolence
Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan expressed grief over the accident and said, “I express my deepest condolences to the families of all those who lost their lives in this accident. Twenty-two passengers were injured in the accident.” He directed officials to provide immediate and better medical care to the injured.
