Banks to remain closed in Meghalaya today

The northeastern state of Meghalaya has declared a bank holiday on December 12th. This day is included as a regional holiday in the state’s list of holidays. Banks in Meghalaya are closed to commemorate the death anniversary of Pa Togan Nengminja Sangma, a heroic freedom fighter from the Garo community. Therefore, customer services will not be available at any bank branch there today.
