This feature has proven to be a boon for the elderly and those with disabilities. Previously, visiting the centre was quite a hassle, but this UIDAI feature has made it easier.

Face Verification

With this new process, you won’t need to upload or carry documents for address or identity. UIDAI is providing face authentication. Now, your face will be your ID proof. The system will scan your live face and match it with your photo in the Aadhaar database. Once your face is matched, your work will be done easily.

Do this with the mAadhaar app

UIDAI has made this feature available through the mAadhaar app. The process is simple.

First, download the mAadhaar app to your mobile.

After this, enter your Aadhaar login PIN and set a 6-digit PIN by entering your Aadhaar number.

Your OTP verification will now take place. This will provide the option to change your mobile number or address.

Then the app’s camera will open. Now, position your face in front of you. The app will capture and verify live face data.

As soon as the face matches, your request will be accepted, and Aadhaar will be updated after some time.
