India previously defeated South Africa by 135 runs in November 2024. This remains South Africa’s lowest total in T20Is. Pandya, who scored his sixth T20I half-century, also took the crucial wicket of David Miller (1 run). For India, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakravarthy, and Axar Patel each took two wickets, while Shivam Dube took one.

For South Africa, Dewald Brewis scored the highest 22 runs while Tristan Stubbs and captain Aiden Markram contributed 14 runs each.
