Ration Card e-KYC: If you are a ration card holder, this news may be very important for you. Under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), the Government of India provides cheap or free rations to millions of eligible citizens through ration cards. A ration card not only serves as proof of food security but also serves as an important identity document. To ensure that benefits reach the right people, the government has now made e-KYC mandatory for ration card holders.
How often will e-KYC be required?
According to the new system, e-KYC of ration cards is now required every five years. Many people last completed this process in 2013, so now is the time to update it. Fortunately, e-KYC has become much easier, and you can complete it online from home.
