Bank Holiday: Banks are a busy time for everyone, from ordinary citizens to professionals. Often, people go to the bank only to have to return because it’s a holiday. This causes problems. Tomorrow is Saturday, which leaves people confused. Many people are misled by the arrival of Saturday, thinking that it’s a holiday or that the banks are open. Will banks be open on Saturday or not?

December 6th is the first Saturday of the month. So, if you have any bank work to do, don’t worry. You can feel free to go to the bank and do your work, as banks are open on the first Saturday of the month. According to the RBI, banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays. Therefore, you don’t need to worry at all.

Which days of the month will banks be closed?

According to the RBI calendar, December 7th is a weekly holiday due to Sunday. Banks will also be closed on December 12th. Banks in Meghalaya will remain closed on the martyrdom day of Pa Togan Nengminja Sangma, a brave freedom fighter from the Garo community. December 13th is a second Saturday holiday.

December 14th is a Sunday holiday. Banks will be closed in Meghalaya on December 18th, the death anniversary of Khasi poet U Soso Tham. Banking services will be suspended in Goa on Liberation Day on December 19th. Banks will also be closed on December 20th due to the Losoung/Namsung festival in Sikkim. December 21st will be a weekly holiday due to Sunday. December 22nd will also be a holiday in Sikkim due to the Losoung/Namsung festival.

Banks will also remain closed on December 24th.

According to the RBI list, Nagaland, Meghalaya, and Mizoram will observe Christmas Eve. Additionally, banks will be closed on December 25th due to Christmas Day. On December 26th, these three northeastern states will observe a holiday beyond Christmas. There will be four consecutive holidays. Banks will be closed on December 27th due to the fourth Saturday.

Meghalaya will observe a bank holiday on December 28th and 30th to commemorate the death anniversary of freedom fighter U Kyang Nangbah. Banks will remain closed on December 31st in Mizoram and Manipur due to New Year’s Eve and the Imoinu Iratpa festival.
