Maruti Suzuki eVX First Look Review – Years in the making, yet Maruti’s stronghold in petrol and CNG has never translated into a layer of legitimacy in the high-demand EV segment. And people would obviously wonder that with the unveiling of the Maruti eVX concept, the automaker intends to hit the EV world as hard as it has with anything else. The design, size, and alleged range of the eVX give it an air that this car might stir up rather interesting things in India’s electric SUV space. Design and interiors

The design part of the Maruti eVX is quite peculiar in that it is futuristic as well as clean. It does not scream in anybody’s ears like the other EVs, and at the same time, it is mature and balanced. Closed front grille, sharp, slim LED DRLs and a mighty bumper make it contemporary. The side profile has straight lines for a true SUV stance. It makes evident a very premium feel to the car due to its connected tail lamps at the rear.
Overall dimensions are almost the same as in Creta & Grand Vitara, and thus, families will not fall short in space.

Interior And Space

Designed for long-hauls in comfort. There is minimal dashboard presence with a large amount of glass in the cabin. The soft-touch materials and light colour theme create an airy feel inside the cabin. It has good legroom in the second row, wide seats with space for comfortably seating three people. A very big boot, not one about those old Maruti standards, enough for trips with family or an everyday office load.

Battery and Range

Maruti eVX would come fitted with a possible battery pack of around 60 kWh. The company claimed that its range could be 500-550 km. On actual calculation, that will mean and practically bring expected ranges to roughly around 380-420 km. Quite enough for city usage and highways as well. In addition, some rapid charging support will be there so that long trips shouldn’t be drowned in waiting times.

Features

Maruti is leaving no stone unturned in filling the feature list for this time—digital cluster, 360-degree camera, wireless features for smartphones and ventilated seats. It also boasts a panoramic sunroof and ADAS-level safety.
