RRB NTPC UG 2025. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released a major update for the NTPC Undergraduate Level (12th Pass) Recruitment 2025. The application deadline was originally set for November 27th, but the board has now extended it to December 6th, 2025. This has brought relief to millions of candidates, as changes have been made to the application and certificate validity dates. Additionally, a key rule regarding educational qualifications has also been revised.

New Application and Fee Dates
RRB has extended the application process timeline for the convenience of candidates.
- New Application Deadline: December 6, 2025
- New Fee Payment Deadline: December 6, 2025
- Form Correction Window: Now December 7 to December 16, 2025
The railway has also extended the validity date for educational and other certificates from November 27 to December 4, 2025. The last date for age calculation remains January 1, 2026.
Complete Details of Positions, Qualifications, and Vacancy
RRB NTPC UG (12th Level) recruitment has been announced for a total of 3,058 posts. The main positions and qualifications are as follows:
1. Commercial cum Ticket Clerk – 2424 posts
- Minimum qualification: 12th pass with 50% marks
- SC/ST/PwD: Only a 12th pass is sufficient
2. Accounts Clerk cum Typist – 394 posts
- 12th pass with 50% marks
- Typing: English 30 wpm / Hindi 25 wpm
3. Junior Clerk cum Typist – 163 posts
- The same qualification and typing rules apply
4. Trains Clerk – 77 posts
- Minimum qualification: 12th pass
Age Limit and Relaxation
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Maximum age: 30 years (as of January 1, 2026)
- Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC
Selection Process: Two-stage CBT and Typing Test
THE RRB NTPC UG selection process consists of a two-stage online examination.
CBT 1
- Duration: 90 minutes
- Total Questions: 100
- GA – 40
- Math – 30
- Reasoning – 30
- Negative Marking: 1/3
CBT 2
- 120 Questions
- GA – 50, Math – 35, Reasoning – 35
- Candidates will be shortlisted 15 times the normalised score of the first CBT.
For Accounts Clerk and Junior Clerk positions, a typing test will also be required after CBT-2.

Application Fee
- General Category/Other: ₹500 (₹400 refunded upon taking the exam)
- SC/ST/Female/EBC/PwD: ₹250 (full refund)

The Railways has announced a total of 3,058 posts across 21 RRB zones across the country. For example, RRB Ahmedabad has 153 posts, Ajmer 116, Kolkata 499, Mumbai 494, and Prayagraj 303.
