Why can a ration card be canceled or deactivated?

  1. Biometric verification is mandatory to get free ration items.
  2. From now on, ration will not be available without biometric verification.

  4. If you do not take ration for 3 consecutive months, your card will be automatically deactivated.
  5. To activate an inactive card, you will have to do e-kyc again at the ration shop. If you do not take ration for 6 consecutive months, your card will be blocked.
  6. To activate a blocked ration card, you will have to submit a form to the Food Supply office.
