Due to the heavy rains, schools have been declared closed on Monday. Furthermore, local authorities have advised school teachers to seek updates on the holiday based on the weather. Children and adults have also been advised not to venture outside during thunderstorms and heavy rain.
Which Districts Have Schools Closed?
According to the latest reports, schools have been closed on November 17th in Chennai, Chengalpattu, Tiruvallur, and surrounding districts. Furthermore, due to continuous rain and waterlogging in low-lying areas, all government, private, and aided schools have been declared closed. Parents are advised to avoid unnecessary travel as many main roads are flooded.

Schools are reopening regularly in all districts of Bihar, including Patna, Gaya, Nalanda, Begusarai, and Samastipur.
