PAN Card Updated: If incorrect information, such as name, address, mobile number, or date of birth, is entered on your PAN card, it’s now easier than ever to correct it. The Income Tax Department has made PAN card updates available through two major portals: NSDL and UTIITSL. You can apply online on these two portals from the comfort of your home, or you can submit the form offline by visiting your nearest PAN service center.

This means you can make corrections to your name, address, date of birth, mobile number, and other information from your mobile or laptop without visiting an agent or office. Simply follow a few steps, and your new PAN card will be ready within a few days.

How long does it take to process a PAN card?

If all documents are submitted correctly, a new or updated PAN card is usually received within 15 to 20 days. However, if any document is incomplete or the information is incorrect, the process may take a little longer.

What is an e-PAN?

An e-PAN card is sent digitally to your email and is legally as valid as a physical card. If you have chosen a physical card, the e-PAN will be automatically sent by email. However, if you have chosen only the e-PAN option, then you will not get the physical card.
