The biggest feature of this system is that it works without internet, which reduces the risk of cyber fraud.
It is available in 12 Indian languages and also has features like checking balance , viewing past transactions and managing UPI PIN.
Partnership between IOB and NPST
Now, Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) is preparing to bring this system to its customers. The bank has partnered with Network People Services Technologies Limited (NPST), which will implement it in collaboration with MissCallPay.
Approximately 850 million people in India still don’t use UPI , of which approximately 400 million are feature phone users. This move will pave the way for them to join the digital payment system.
