November Holidays 2025. After numerous holidays in October, November is set to be a festive month. Government offices, schools, and banks will remain closed due to the numerous holidays in November, bringing relief to government employees and the general public. The state government has declared November 5th and November 24th, 2025, as public holidays. These holidays commemorate Guru Nanak Jayanti, Kartik Purnima, and Guru Tegh Bahadur Martyrdom Day.

It should be noted that many festivals and holidays are falling across the country, due to which all government offices, schools, colleges, banks, and courts will remain closed for several days. Holiday on November 5th for Guru Nanak Jayanti and Kartik Purnima
November 5th (Wednesday) will be a public holiday across the state on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti and Kartik Purnima.
All government offices, schools, colleges, and banks will remain closed on these days. The district administration has stated that special preparations are being made for the cleanliness of the ghats, security, and traffic arrangements.
All other government institutions, including Vikas Bhawan, will also be closed on this day. Kartik Purnima is considered highly sacred from a religious perspective, so crowds of devotees are expected at various locations.
Veerangana Uda Devi Martyrdom Day on November 16
In addition, there will be a restricted holiday on November 16 on the occasion of Veerangana Uda Devi Martyrdom Day. This holiday has been included as an optional holiday in the government holiday list.
Employees can avail leave on this day as per their wish. The state government has established it in memory of Veerangana Uda Devi’s contribution to the freedom struggle.
Guru Teg Bahadur Martyrdom Day on November 24
There will be a statewide public holiday on November 24 (Monday) to commemorate Guru Teg Bahadur Martyrdom Day. All state government offices, schools, and higher educational institutions will be closed on this day.
This holiday has been declared to respectfully commemorate the martyrdom day of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. According to government instructions, no administrative work will be conducted in all departments on that day.

Banks and courts will also be closed.
According to the holiday schedule released by bank unions, banking operations will also be affected in the month of November. All nationalised and private banks will be closed on November 5th and 24th.

Customers have been advised to complete their important banking transactions before these dates. Judicial work will also be suspended in the district courts. In addition to the Unnao District Court, courts in Purwa, Safipur, Hasanganj, and Bighapur will also be closed.
The month of November will be filled with festivals and birth anniversaries of great personalities. While there will be an atmosphere of reverence and devotion, government employees will benefit from two important public holidays.
