Bihar Board 2026 Alert. A major update has arrived for students preparing for the Bihar Board Exams 2026. The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has released the datesheet for the Class 10th and 12th standard exams. According to the schedule, the Intermediate (Class 12th) standard exams will be held from November 19th to 26th, 2025. For Matriculation (Class 10th) students, the exams will be held from November 19th to 22nd. Students appearing for these exams can download the complete datesheet from the board’s official website.

While the Bihar Board is currently preparing for the final Class 10th and 12th exams in 2026, there is also news that the board may release the 2026 exam dates for the Class 10th and 12th exams after the assembly elections, prompting students to begin preparing.

Dates for Practical Exams Also Determinable

Along with the written exams, the BSEB has also announced the dates for practical exams. According to a notification issued by the Bihar Board, Class 10 practical exams will begin on November 24th and will be completed as scheduled. Meanwhile, Class 12 practical exams will be conducted between November 27th and 29th, 2025. It should be noted that practical exams will be conducted at the school level, and attendance will be mandatory for all students.

Which Students Will Appear for the Set-Up Exam?

According to the official notification from the Bihar Board, only students with at least 75 per cent attendance in school can appear for the Set-Up Exam.
Students whose attendance falls below this threshold will not be permitted to appear. Furthermore, students in the Ex-Students, Compartmental, or Improvement Category will not be eligible to participate. This exam is only for regular students who will appear for the 2026 board exams.

The exam will be conducted in two shifts.

This time too, the setup exam will be conducted in two shifts. The first shift will be from 9:30 am to 12:45 pm, and the second shift will be from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. Each school has been instructed to complete its own preparations for this exam. The exam question paper and evaluation process will be closely monitored to ensure transparency.

Matriculation SETUP Exam from November 19th to 22nd

The Bihar Board’s Matriculation (10th) SETUP exam will be held from November 19th to 22nd, 2025. The practical exam date has been set for November 24, 2025. The exam will be held in two shifts.

  • First shift: 9:30 am to 12:45 pm
  • Second shift: 2 pm to 5:15 pm

Students will have the first 15 minutes to read and understand the question paper.
