New Delhi: After a significant decline, gold and silver prices rose on Friday, the last day of the trading week. Jewellery prices began rising as soon as the market opened. It seemed that prices would break records today. As the day progressed, prices began to decline. A sharp surge was observed in both the domestic and international markets.
On the MCX, 24-carat gold was trending at ₹1,22,148 per tola. The increase in prices from 24-carat to 14-carat gold dashed consumer expectations. Meanwhile, today is the festival of Devuthani Ekadashi, and the wedding season will begin.
