Engine and Performance

The true strength of the Access 125 CNG lies in its bi-fuel technology, allowing it to run on both petrol and CNG. It features the same 125cc air-cooled engine as the petrol version, but with a CNG fuel system. This bi-fuel technology gives riders the freedom to switch fuels as per their convenience. According to the company, the scooter’s top speed will be slightly lower in CNG mode, but mileage will increase significantly. Suzuki claims that the Access 125 CNG will travel 60 to 70 kilometers per kilogram of gas, which is approximately 30-40% more than the petrol model. The scooter runs smoothly in CNG mode, and when switched to petrol, its performance remains similar to the standard Access 125.

Suzuki has placed special emphasis on safety and advanced technology in the Access 125 CNG. It features a dual-fuel switching safety system that prevents any gas leakage when changing fuel modes. It also includes technologies such as a leak detection sensor and an auto cut-off valve, which automatically shut off the fuel supply in case of a hazard. This scooter has also received technological upgrades. It includes modern features like Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, and a USB charging port, which meet the needs of today’s young generation.

Launch and Expected Price

After being showcased at the Japan Auto Show, the Suzuki Access 125 CNG is expected to launch in India soon, in early 2026. The company will initially launch it in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and Ahmedabad, where CNG stations are already well-established. Due to the addition of a CNG kit, it may be slightly more expensive than the petrol version, but with the mileage savings, it will soon make up for its cost.
